Shot twice in the abdomen by Islamic Republic forces on Vakil Abad Boulevard in Mashhad. Did not go to hospital due to safety concerns and fear of arrest and execution. Suffered at home for three days before dying from infection and bleeding. Family reported cause of death as heart attack due to security pressures. Even her 40-day memorial ceremony was held quietly with only close relatives.
