Behnam Amirafshary

Father of two children, shot with military bullet by regime suppression forces on January 8, 2026 in Fardis, Karaj. Transferred to Sardar Soleimani Hospital in Malard where doctors could not repair the artery in his leg due to lack of transplant surgeon, so they severed the main artery to prevent bleeding. Family was not allowed to transfer him to Tehran initially. Next day transferred to Omid Hospital Tehran, then to Taleghani Hospital in Velenjak when his leg turned black. After 24 hours, his right leg was amputated above the thigh. Next day they operated again to remove the bullet that had remained in his right pelvis for 36 hours. Fought for 72 days in Taleghani Hospital with great pain and suffering. Discharged on March 19, 2026 against his wife's wishes at doctors' insistence. Was home for only 3 hours before dying in his wife's arms.
