Killed during the 'Lion and Sun National Revolution' protests in Azadshahr. She was shot with three bullets to the leg, side, and heart, shortly after giving her own shawl to help stop the bleeding of another wounded protester who had been shot in the leg. She died at the scene and her body was taken to a hospital. Her family retrieved her body after a week of pursuit, and her burial was held under security pressure at 6am with only 10 relatives present, with no memorial service permitted.
